Working Well Has Its Benefits

The City of Lebanon supports a number of initiatives to create a work environment that fosters a healthy work/life balance. One such initiative is the Balance Program, which provides modest cash bonuses to employees who complete a series of ten activities focused on health and fitness, community involvement and professional development.

City officials crafted an employee wellness program to help workers improve themselves through training and education, and to learn how much they matter to the organization and the community they serve. City employees can also get paid up to 24 hours per year to volunteer with local organizations and causes they care about.

The story of our All-Star Employer was featured in local newspapers and was chosen as the cover story for the January edition of Heart to Heart magazine.
